Panduan Penulis

The Journal of Malay Constitutional Studies (JMCS) welcomes original and unpublished manuscripts that contribute to constitutional law, constitutional theory, Malay Constitutionalism, indigenous constitutional thought, governance, legal history, and related interdisciplinary fields.

All submissions must be original, must not have been published previously, and must not be under consideration elsewhere. Every manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening followed by a double-blind peer review process.

The editorial board reserves the right to reject manuscripts that fall outside the journal's aims and scope or fail to meet scholarly and ethical standards.

Before submitting your manuscript, please confirm that:

✓ The manuscript is original and has not been published previously.

✓ The manuscript is not under consideration by another journal.

✓ The manuscript falls within the aims and scope of JMCS.

✓ The manuscript follows the Journal's formatting guidelines.

✓ All references are complete and formatted according to APA 7th Edition.

✓ The manuscript has been anonymized for double-blind peer review.

✓ All figures and tables are properly numbered and cited.

✓ The corresponding author has obtained permission from all co-authors.

Research Articles

This section publishes original, peer-reviewed research articles that make significant scholarly contributions to constitutional law, constitutional theory, Malay Constitutionalism, indigenous constitutional thought, governance, legal history, comparative constitutional studies, and interdisciplinary legal scholarship. Manuscripts should present original findings, theoretical innovation, or critical analysis that advances constitutional scholarship within regional and global contexts.

Review Articles

This section publishes comprehensive review articles that critically evaluate existing literature, identify emerging debates, and propose future research directions in constitutional law, Malay Constitutionalism, governance, legal history, and related interdisciplinary fields.

Book Reviews

This section publishes critical reviews of recently published books relevant to constitutional law, constitutional theory, governance, legal history, indigenous constitutionalism, and Malay studies.

Editorial

Editorials provide scholarly reflections from the Editor-in-Chief or invited editors regarding current developments in constitutional scholarship, special issues, and the intellectual direction of the Journal of Malay Constitutional Studies.

Accepted articles will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License, allowing others to share, copy, redistribute, adapt, and build upon the work for any purpose, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the Journal.

Authors warrant that:

• the submitted manuscript is original;
• the manuscript has not been published previously;
• the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere;
• all authors have approved the submission;
• any copyrighted materials used have obtained appropriate permission.

The Editorial Board follows the publication ethics standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
